1、 How to identify the brightness of LED display screen
1. Make a 3V DC power supply that is easy to connect led by yourself, preferably by battery. Two button batteries can be used, which are installed in a small plastic tube and lead out two probes as the positive and negative output. The tail end is directly made into a switch with shrapnel. When in use, the positive and negative probes contact the positive and negative pins of the light-emitting diode. Press and hold the switch at the tail end, and the light-emitting tube is electrified.
2. Secondly, a simple light measuring device is composed of a photosensitive resistor and a digital multimeter. The photosensitive resistor leads out two thin wires and is directly connected to the two pens of the digital multimeter. The position of the multimeter is set at 20K (depending on the photosensitive resistor, try to make the reading accurate). Note that the measured value is actually the resistance value of the photosensitive resistor, so the brighter the light, the smaller the value.
3. Take an LED and light it with the above 3V DC. The light emitting head is facing and clinging to the photosensitive surface of the photosensitive resistor. At this time, the multimeter will read to distinguish the brightness of the LED.
2、 Brightness discrimination level refers to the brightness level of the image that the human eye can distinguish from the darkest to the whitest.
Some of the gray levels of LED display are very high, which can reach 256 or even 1024 levels. However, due to the limited sensitivity of human eyes to brightness, these gray levels can not be fully recognized. That is to say, many neighboring gray levels may look the same. And the eye resolution varies from person to person. For the display screen, the level of human eye recognition is naturally the more the better, because the displayed image is for people to see after all. The more brightness levels the human eye can distinguish, the greater the color space of the display screen, and the greater the potential of displaying rich colors. Brightness identification level can be tested with special software. Generally, the display screen can reach level 20 or above, which is a better level.
3、 Requirements for brightness and viewing angle:
The brightness of indoor full-color LED display should be more than 800cd / m2, and that of outdoor full-color display should be more than 1500cd / m2, in order to ensure the normal operation of the display, otherwise the image displayed will not be clear because of the low brightness. The brightness is mainly determined by the quality of LED chip. The size of the viewing angle directly determines the number of the audience of the LED display screen, so the larger the better. The viewing angle is mainly determined by the die package.
It is very necessary to determine the brightness of LED display screen. At present, the brightness requirements of LED display screen in city lighting, or new regulations, if the brightness of LED screen is too high, it will cause trouble to the nearby residents.
